The Second Half of Self Improvement - Explained in Overwatch
I realized that I don’t really have the OverWatch equivalent of rewatching my old games whether it’s games that I lost or games that I won I don’t have anything like that in my life you need to find new methods to improve by watching the pro players but also monitor the methods that you’re currently using to see if they’re IDE or if they’re even working at all okay so I want to preface this video by saying that I don’t really
Like OverWatch but my friends do and sometimes I play with them they were talking the other day about how to get better at the game and I was listening the one who is better at the game was giving the other one some advice and some homework to get better at the game he was saying that you should go back and rewatch your games especially the games where you lose in OverWatch it’s kind of hard to gauge your progress and
Tell if you’re improving or not sometimes you get more kills sometimes less but you can win or lose all the same no matter which side you’re on sometimes it seems like your teammates actually have brains inside their skulls and maybe that’s why you win the game but also sometimes you can win with a completely terrible team it it doesn’t really make sense there’s not really a tangible way to measure your skill either you win or you
Lose things that will increase your likeliness of winning games re-watching your games especially the ones where you lose and seeing where you went wrong watching Pro players play the game and seeing what they’re doing and you’re not doing yet even if there’s like a best assortment of characters to go as together like a a perfect team composition your team especially if you’re playing like Solo or even Duos you still need to have some other people on the team and they might not know
What’s going on all the time so you might have two good character selections but everyone else is kind of doing their own thing so if you would like to increase the likeliness of winning the game then it’s up to you to kind of match match their freak you know it’s up to you to kind of see okay maybe I don’t have to go as this character that I always go as maybe I could match this character that
They’re playing as so that our overall team composition is better when I heard them talking about how to to improve in OverWatch I just immediately thought of like Hamza saying why would you invest more time in the game than in real life and I’m not trying to insult my friends by saying that but they were talking about it in the game and I was just thinking like oh this would be applicable in real life too wouldn’t it I realized that I
Already have a real life equivalent of watching Pro players play the game through people like Hamza on YouTube Alex heroi even Andrew Tate he’s an example of someone that a lot of people have you know we’re seeing what he’s doing and then we want to do that too people who already have lots of success that’s what I’m trying to say but I realized that I don’t really have the OverWatch equivalent of rewatching my old games whether it’s
Games that I lost or games that I won I don’t have anything like that in my life I’m starting to think that it could be just as important as watching the pro players play you need to find new methods to improve by watching the pro players but also monitor the methods that you’re currently using to see if they’re ideal or if they’re even working at all this is what I wanted this video to focus on the part where we rewatch
Our games I don’t think this needs to be super complicated either I think it’s just a matter of checking in with yourself at the end of the day and reflecting on everything that happened how the things that made up your day made you feel you know how you went about uh managing your responses abilities your tasks talking with other people you know interacting with other people how you manage that is there anything that you could have done better or differently if
You had to do it again you know so going forward on this channel if I can’t post a video about an idea that I actually thought of and wrote out and tried to make sense of I at least want want to post one video a week where I take my Reflections from the week cuz I want to do this daily but I want to combine it into a video that I will post at the beginning of the next
Week and that will be just all of my Reflections from that last week this way I can stay uploading videos consistently cuz it’s pretty easy to do just to write at the end of the day and I can consistently upload while I’m still in school I can get my my thoughts and my feelings out onto paper which is probably good for my mental health If we’re honest and the reflections themselves would make me better at The Game of Life
Anyway maybe hopefully I really don’t see how this practice would be a bad thing if you’re doing it in healthy way like you kind of have to know what is in your control I’ll have to make sure that I’m not overly scrutinizing myself what are things that you could improve on and what are things that are genuinely like not in your control like that’s somebody else of course I don’t want this to become just me constantly criticizing
Myself every day which is why I think for this practice it’s also important to count your wins this can be done through either mentioning your wins in the reflections or through gratitude journaling separately I have learned this practice of uh gratitude journaling through Hamza and when I was doing it every day I could feel like I felt like I was more peaceful you know I felt more grateful but for the weekly videos I plan on doing I don’t plan on talking
About the Gratitude part I just plan to talk about the reflection part maybe this will change your actionable step for this video is to reflect you don’t need to do it the same way I’m doing it you don’t need to do a weekly video you don’t need to do it even every day but your actionable step is to do it right now at least once right now and then you don’t have to do it again whether on a
Digital Notepad or in a notebook I wouldn’t recommend just thinking about it I think you should write it down reflect on the day how did it make you feel certain choices you made how they made you feel were they good choices bad choices if you were going to go through the same situation again would you change anything or would you leave it the same do you think that you handled it pretty well if you would change
Something about a situation or an event during your day then right there is a first step in making a plan to make it better next time if it happens again then now you’ll be more prepared I’ll be doing the same take care
